We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead onboarding initiatives for Microsoft 365 services within Microsoft’s internal IT environment. Microsoft operates multiple Microsoft 365 tenants, including environments with complex security, compliance, and operational requirements.

In this role, you will drive the planning and delivery of tenant onboarding programs by translating business and technical objectives into actionable plans, milestones, and execution strategies. You will collaborate across engineering, security, compliance, operations, and business teams to coordinate dependencies, manage risks, and support successful service deployment. The role requires working across multiple stakeholder groups to align priorities, address challenges, and enable delivery outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead tenant onboarding programs across multiple engineering teams, managing program plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and delivery outcomes.
  • Define and execute program strategies by translating business and technical objectives into structured plans, success criteria, ownership models, and delivery roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Microsoft 365 engineering, business functions, security, compliance, operations, and internal IT organizations to align priorities and support decision-making.
  • Manage program risks, dependencies, issues, and escalations, balancing business requirements and technical considerations to support delivery objectives.
  • Establish and maintain program operating rhythms, including status reporting, milestone reviews, dependency management, risk tracking, and stakeholder communications.
  • Communicate program status, decisions, risks, and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior stakeholders

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, SaaS, enterprise IT, or cloud platform programs.
  • Experience working across business, security, compliance, operations, and engineering teams.
  • Experience with large-scale tenant lifecycle, configuration, or onboarding programs.Ability to create structure, manage ambiguity, and drive program execution.
  • Experience managing stakeholders and balancing competing requirements.Effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior stakeholders.
  • Technical understanding of cloud or SaaS architectures, dependencies, risks, and tradeoffs.Technical program management experience leading cross-team initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex programs to completion.

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
