We are constantly growing and are currently looking for a reliable and highly motivated Senior Technical Office Engineer (Mechanical) to join our top-qualified and knowledgeable team in our Regional Office in New Cairo, Egypt.

What you will need to do:

  • Review tender documents, design drawings, specifications, and other technical requirements related to HVAC, Plumbing, and Firefighting systems.
  • Prepare cost estimates and tender pricing for mechanical works.
  • Review mechanical designs and identify technical discrepancies, missing information, or areas requiring clarification.
  • Prepare and raise RFIs as required during the tendering and technical review process.
  • Perform quantity take-offs and prepare/review Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for mechanical materials, equipment, and systems.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions for mechanical materials and equipment in accordance with project and design requirements.
  • Review and evaluate vendors’ and subcontractors’ technical and commercial offers, ensuring compliance with project specifications and requirements.
  • Prepare technical comparisons and support the selection of suitable suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Review mechanical technical submittals for materials, equipment, and systems and coordinate with suppliers to obtain any required technical clarifications.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure proper integration of mechanical systems.
  • Support tendering and awarded projects with the required technical office activities related to mechanical works.

What you will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, preferably Mechanical Power Engineering.
  • 10–12 years of relevant experience in Mechanical Technical Office and/or Tender Estimation within the construction industry.
  • Strong technical experience in HVAC, Plumbing, and Firefighting systems.
  • Solid experience in tender estimation, design review, quantity surveying, purchase requisitions, and technical/commercial evaluation of vendors’ offers.
  • Previous experience working with reputable contractors or EPC companies in a similar role is highly preferred.
  • Good knowledge of relevant mechanical codes, standards, and engineering practices.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; knowledge of relevant HVAC/design software is an advantage.
  • Very good command of written and spoken English.
