Senior Engineering Manager

Guangzhou/Shanghai/Ningbo

Acts as a lead within the business segment(s)/region to drive consistency and operational excellence. Supports the Director through regionally focused work and/or by directing a team of Engineering Managers. Operates in a highly matrixed environment to ensure customer satisfaction, financial performance, and business growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and execute regional operational strategy to drive growth and profitability using customer and market intelligence and translate customer needs into operational plans with the right resources.
• Own P&L activities, budget breakdowns, forecasting to meet financial targets, manage costs, and monitor engineering revenue including unbilled, aging, inactive projects, and work-on-hand analysis.
• Drive new business initiatives, partner with Sales and BD to provide proactive solutions, build customer intimacy through visits and data analysis, and implement capacity strategies while participating in industry events.
• Review project status and management to ensure operational delivery, close gaps, and assure that all teams meet financial targets without compromising quality or customer satisfaction.
• Lead a high-performing team by managing performance and development, driving culture change and engagement within the matrix, holding all accountable for results, and coaching through training and feedback.
• Lead multi-functional teams to expand service offerings, partner with Lab, Sales, BD, and Product Management to achieve financial goals, promote change and global relationships, ensure policy compliance, and exemplify the Vision and Mission.
• Follow the company Code of Conduct and security practices, and perform other duties as directed.

REQUIREMENTS

• University degree (equivalent to Bachelor's) in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 10 years of directly related experience, including 8 years of relevant management/leadership experience.
• Cross-Functional & Global Experience
• Solid experience as a lead or participant in cross-functional or global projects, or worked in multiple functions/regions.
• Lean Sigma Green Belt or Lean Leadership Training is a plus.
