All about the role:
Within the Global R&D site, the Food Preparation – Oven Category team is building a pipeline for a highly motivated Senior Technical Leader to lead the development and industrialization of oven platforms, ensuring technical excellence, cost, quality, and time targets, while driving innovation and cross-functional integration across the full product lifecycle.
This role combines technical leadership and project management, acting as a key interface between R&D functions, Business Areas, and Manufacturing to drive platform and project execution.
What you’ll do:
In this role, you will lead cross-functional development projects from concept definition through industrialization, ensuring full alignment on scope, cost, timing, and technical performance targets.
You will serve as the primary technical interface between R&D, Industrial Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Manufacturing, facilitating design reviews, risk assessments, supplier technical evaluations, and validation activities. You will also coordinate with global R&D teams to leverage platform synergies, standardization strategies, and best practices across regions.
Additionally, you will engage with international R&D organizations and Business Areas, ensuring that product strategies, technical roadmaps, and market requirements are consistently translated into robust and competitive oven solutions.
In detail, you will:
Act as technical owner of the project or platform, driving architectural choices and key technical decisions;
Ensure alignment between 2D/3D design, simulation, testing, and final validation.
Lead feasibility studies, trade-off analyses, and risk assessments (DFMEA, design reviews).
Coordinate technical activities across Mechanical, Electronics, Software, Testing, Quality, and Industrialization teams;
Drive cost competitiveness through design-to-cost, standardization, reuse, and supplier collaboration;
Lead technical reviews and governance processes (e.g. TdP, CPs, LoF, DFMEA, Risk Reviews);
Collaborate with Procurement and suppliers to validate technical solutions, cost targets, and risk mitigation actions;
Support prototyping, validation, and homologation activities;
Contribute to platform strategy, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
Who you are:
University degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or similar);
Proven experience (5+ years) in technical leadership, preferably in Oven R&D or Food Preparation appliance development.
Consolidated technical knowledge of oven systems and components.
Experience working in cross-functional and international environments
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
Ability to balance technical depth with project execution and business priorities.
Fluent English (written and spoken).
