TechX Corp. is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Lead to own the technical direction, architecture, and delivery governance of large-scale data projects within the banking domain.
This role is ideal for a senior technology leader with strong experience in enterprise data platforms, banking systems, cloud infrastructure, data integration, governance, security, and complex technology delivery. The Senior Technical Lead will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, engineering teams, delivery managers, vendors, and banking-side stakeholders to ensure that solutions are technically sound, scalable, secure, compliant, and delivered successfully.
The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across the full project lifecycle, from solution design and planning through implementation, testing, go-live, and operational handover.
Own the overall technical direction for banking data projects, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, and aligned with business objectives.
Lead architecture discussions across data platforms, data pipelines, integration layers, cloud infrastructure, security, governance, and reporting solutions.
Review and challenge technical designs, delivery estimates, implementation approaches, and technical risks.
Ensure technical decisions are practical, well-documented, and aligned with enterprise standards and banking compliance requirements.
Provide guidance to architects, engineers, data teams, and delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Oversee technical delivery across multiple workstreams, including data engineering, data migration, data integration, analytics, platform setup, testing, and deployment.
Work closely with project managers to align technical execution with the overall delivery roadmap, milestones, dependencies, and critical path.
Identify technical blockers early and drive practical resolution plans with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
Ensure technical scope, assumptions, dependencies, and delivery status are clearly understood across all parties.
Support go-live planning, production readiness, and transition into business-as-usual operations.
Ensure data solutions meet banking industry expectations around security, data privacy, auditability, regulatory compliance, operational resilience, and access control.
Work with banking stakeholders to understand business processes, data requirements, reporting needs, risk considerations, and operational constraints.
Support alignment between technology solutions and banking use cases such as customer data, transaction data, risk, compliance, finance, reporting, or digital banking.
Ensure data governance, data quality, lineage, and control requirements are properly considered in solution design and delivery.
Lead technical discussions on data architecture, system integration, API strategy, data models, cloud services, and platform modernization.
Ensure integration between source systems, data platforms, reporting tools, downstream applications, and external partners is well-managed.
Guide teams on data security, encryption, access management, monitoring, performance, and operational support requirements.
Review technical documentation, architecture diagrams, interface specifications, deployment plans, and operational runbooks.
Act as a senior technical point of contact for internal teams, external vendors, technology partners, and client-side banking stakeholders.
Build trusted relationships with senior technology, business, risk, compliance, and operations stakeholders.
Facilitate technical decision-making forums and ensure open technical issues are resolved before they impact delivery timelines.
Clarify technical responsibilities, handoffs, ownership, and escalation paths across multiple parties.
Proactively identify and manage technical risks related to architecture, data, integration, security, performance, compliance, vendors, and operations.
Support the project governance process by providing clear technical input on risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions, and change requests.
Assess the technical impact of change requests on scope, timeline, cost, quality, security, and operational readiness.
Ensure solution outputs meet agreed quality standards, acceptance criteria, and enterprise governance requirements.
Support testing strategy, defect resolution, performance validation, security review, readiness checkpoints, and go-live approval.
Lead and mentor multi-disciplinary technical teams including architects, data engineers, software engineers, cloud engineers, testers, and technical analysts.
Support resource planning, technical prioritization, and team capability development across workstreams.
Promote strong engineering discipline, documentation quality, collaboration, and delivery accountability.
Ensure knowledge transfer, technical documentation, training, and operational handover are completed effectively.
Minimum 10 years of experience in technology delivery, solution architecture, data engineering, enterprise platforms, or technical leadership.
At least 5 years in a senior technical leadership role overseeing large-scale data, analytics, cloud, platform, integration, or digital transformation projects.
Proven experience delivering data projects within the banking or financial services domain.
Strong experience working in regulated enterprise environments with formal governance, compliance, audit, and security requirements.
Experience managing multi-party technology delivery involving internal teams, vendors, partners, and senior client stakeholders.
Experience supporting projects through design, build, testing, go-live, and operational handover.
Strong understanding of modern data platforms, data architecture, data pipelines, data integration, data migration, analytics, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise security.
Good knowledge of banking data environments, including core banking, customer data, transaction data, risk, compliance, reporting, or digital banking systems.
Familiarity with data governance, data quality, metadata, lineage, access control, encryption, audit requirements, and regulatory considerations.
Ability to understand complex technical risks, challenge estimates, evaluate solution options, and make practical delivery decisions.
Comfortable working with architects, engineers, project managers, vendors, business users, senior management, risk, compliance, and operations teams.
Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, waterfall, and stage-gate delivery approaches.
Ability to balance Agile delivery practices with formal enterprise governance and banking control requirements.
Confident working with delivery plans, technical roadmaps, RAID logs, RACI models, change-control processes, architecture reviews, and status reporting.
Able to communicate complex technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data, or related fields.
Cloud, data, architecture, or project delivery certifications are preferred.
Relevant certifications may include AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, TOGAF, DAMA/CDMP, PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or similar.
Experience with banking transformation, data modernization, regulatory reporting, cloud migration, or enterprise data platform implementation is a strong advantage.
