Job Summary

Role Description:

A Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, processing, and performing analyses on datasets. They interpret the data to discover useful information, suggest conclusions, and thus support decision-making. This role involves a combination of technical and analytical skills to assess complex data and report on the results of their findings. They work closely with various business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and deliver and communicate solutions to their needs.

Responsibilities / Tasks:

• Creates analysis and dashboards to generate data insights and knowledge to support data-driven decision making
• Combines the business domain knowledge with data analytics knowledge
• Bridges the gap between business requirements and IT capabilities.
• Participates in Data Analyst community to improve skills and share best practices and use cases
• Coordinates development of project rationale, establishes problem definition, and determines feasibility
• Stays updated with new data analysis methodologies and tools at WACKER
• Provides introduction and support to Data Consumers in their area

Key Responsibilities

Competencies / Skills:

• Expertise in data visualization and analytics tools, such as SAP Analytics Cloud, Seeq, or Tableau
• Good knowledge about Data Literacy to make use of provided information and the ability to communicate data in a comprehensible way to the Data Consumers
• Good knowledge about database structures, join-types and data types
• Awareness of valid data protection and authorization policies
• Familiarity with machine learning topics
• Knowledge of the domain, processes and related data
• (Optional) Basic knowledge in self-service ETL tools, such as Alteryx or Tableau Prep
