Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned SAP MM Senior consultant to lead the Materials Management workstream across SAP transformation programs. The role owns the design, configuration, and delivery of procurement and inventory solutions, partners closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions, and provides functional leadership to consultants and analysts on the team.
Lead the SAP MM workstream across the full implementation lifecycle — requirements gathering, blueprint/fit-gap, configuration, testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.
Own the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process design, including purchasing, inventory management, and logistics invoice verification.
Configure and customize SAP MM (SPRO): material master, vendor/business partner master, purchasing documents (PR, PO, RFQ, contracts, scheduling agreements), release strategies, pricing procedures, and account determination.
Drive MM–FI integration (automatic account determination, valuation, split valuation) and cross-module integration with SD, PP, and WM/EWM.
Lead workshops with business and process owners to define to-be processes, document fit-gap analysis, and recommend standard-vs-custom solutions.
Manage functional specifications for RICEFW objects and coordinate with the ABAP/technical team on developments, enhancements, and interfaces (IDoc/ALE, APIs).
Oversee data migration activities for MM objects (material master, open POs, stock, vendor data) using tools such as the SAP Migration Cockpit, LTMC, or LSMW.
Plan and execute unit, integration, and user acceptance testing; manage defect resolution and traceability.
Provide mentorship and functional leadership to MM consultants and analysts.
Support cutover planning, go-live readiness, and post-go-live stabilization.
7+ years of hands-on SAP experience, with substantial time in functional SAP MM roles.
Demonstrated experience as an MM Lead on SAP transformation projects.
2–5 full-cycle, end-to-end implementations (greenfield, brownfield, or rollout).
Deep configuration expertise across procurement, inventory management, and invoice verification.
Strong understanding of P2P process design and master data governance.
Proven MM–FI integration knowledge and working knowledge of integration touchpoints with SD, PP, and WM/EWM.
Experience writing functional specs and partnering with technical teams on RICEFW objects.
Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and documentation skills.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
Hands-on SAP S/4HANA experience, including knowledge of the simplified MM-IM data model, Business Partner, and MM-related Fiori apps.
Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology.
Exposure to SAP Ariba, Central Procurement, or Source-to-Pay solutions.
Experience with global rollouts and template-based deployments.
SAP MM / S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement certification.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Business, or a related field. (Master's/MBA a plus.)
