Job Description

About the role:

We are seeking a seasoned Salesforce Technical Specialist with experience in Salesforce Effectiveness - Resource Allocation, Territory & Incentive Management practices to join our dynamic team. If you bring a wealth of experience in Salesforce development in life sciences industry and possess the technical aptitude to guide our projects from inception through deployment then do not hesitate to apply. This role will be pivotal in implementing robust solutions for our CRM needs, including overseeing the integration of Salesforce with existing systems such as SAP, Data Lake, Workday etc.

Your key responsibilites:

Architecture and Design

  • Lead the technical architecture and design of Salesforce solutions.
  • Ensure designs are aligned with both business objectives & technical standards/architecture.

Development and Customization

  • Develop and customize Salesforce applications using APEX, Visualforce, Lightning components, and other Salesforce technologies.
  • Apply the 80/20 rule for out-of-the-box configurations versus custom development.

Integration

  • Oversee data migration and integration tasks, ensuring seamless interoperability between Salesforce and other CRMs like Veeva.
  • Utilize APIs and middleware for integration with third-party systems.

Testing and QA

  • Support documenting & end to end testing
  • Conduct unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Resolve anomalies identified during various testing phases, including functional, integration, and non-functional tests.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather and define technical requirements.
  • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Documentation and Training

  • Create comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Provide training and support to end-users and junior developers.

Maintenance

  • Manage the post-implementation support, including L2 and L3 support.
  • Handle minor enhancements and bug fixes as required.

Your skills and experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Multi-annual hands-on experience with Salesforce development.
  • Extensive experience with Salesforce platform & marketing automation platforms like marketing cloud will be added advantage.
  • Proven expertise in Salesforce integrations and data migration.
  • Experience with Mulesoft will be a added advantage.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in APEX, Visualforce, Lightning components, SOQL, and SOSL.
  • Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce integration tools and techniques.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git, gearset).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Fluent English is a must.
