Intrum is undergoing a significant transformation of our infrastructure services as part of Intrum IT strategy. We are moving toward a multi‑vendor delivery model and strengthening our end‑to‑end ownership of critical IT services.

During the past two years, Intrum is modernizing its network by adopting cloud‑based technologies with Cisco Meraki and Cisco Secure Connect.

Are you our new Senior Technical Engineer, Network?

The Technical Engineer supports the Service Delivery Manager in maintaining stable, secure, and high‑performing IT services in his responsible area. The role focuses on daily operational activities, incident resolution, change execution, and contributing to continuous improvement. Working closely with the SDM, Solution Architect, and delivery teams, the Technical Engineer helps ensure the service operates according to defined standards and expected outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Service Delivery Manager in maintaining reliable and efficient service delivery. Ensure assigned service components operate according to defined functional and non-functional requirements such as availability, performance, scalability, and stability.
  • Perform operational activities required to maintain service stability, including incident resolution, service requests handling, troubleshooting, monitoring, maintenance, and implementation of improvements in collaboration with the SDM.
  • Maintain and update technical documentation, operational procedures, and configuration details to ensure accurate and accessible service information across Intrum platforms and tools.
  • Follow established governance frameworks, ITSM processes, and the Agile Playbook when performing operational activities, implement required security configurations and technical controls, support vulnerability remediation ensuring technical activities are aligned with organizational standards.
  • Take responsibility for complex service components or critical technologies, ensuring stability, performance optimization, and alignment with architectural standards.
  • Lead investigation and resolution of complex incidents and problems, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventive improvements.
  • Monitor service performance and operational metrics, investigate technical issues, and provide input to the SDM on improvement opportunities and operational risks.
  • Proactively identify service optimization opportunities and provide technical recommendations to the Service Delivery Manager and Solution Architect regarding upgrades, improvements, and lifecycle planning.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Over 5 years of experience delivering network engineering solutions in enterprise environments
  • In-depth knowledge of network technologies across LAN, WAN, Internet, VoIP/SIP, IP telephony, and network security, with the ability to design, operate, troubleshoot, and optimize complex environments.
  • Hands-on operational and troubleshooting experience with Cisco solutions (Meraki, Catalyst, ACI, Secure Connect, Firepower and ASA)
  • Hands-on experience with VeloCloud, Palo Alto, FortiGate, Zscaler, ThousandEyes, and Webex is a plus.
  • Exposure to cloud networking in Azure and AWS environments is a plus.
  • Good understanding of ITIL/ITSM processes (Incident, Change, Problem, Request Management). ITIL certification (e.g., ITIL v4 Foundation) is considered an advantage.
  • Experience working with IT service operations, troubleshooting, system maintenance, monitoring tools, and operational support processes.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery practices and working in cross-functional technical teams.
  • Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management of infrastructure services.
  • Understanding of basic IT security principles, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements in IT environments.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with Service Delivery Managers, architects, project teams, vendors, and other technical stakeholders.
  • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to service reliability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
