This is a role for a hands‑on environmental regulatory leader who wants to be in the market, at the table with clients and regulators, and actively shaping projects from pursuit through approval.

As Senior Technical Director Ecology and EIA, you’ll be a visible leader across Saskatchewan and Manitoba, combining deep regulatory expertise with client leadership and business development You won’t just advise; you’ll own relationships, drive pursuits, and lead delivery on complex, high‑profile projects that matter to communities, industry, and the environment.

Based in Regina or Saskatoon, this role is ideal for a senior professional who thrives as a seller‑doer trusted by regulators, credible with clients, and energized by building both projects and teams.

Your Impact

  • Lead and win work by leveraging your regulatory credibility and trusted relationships with clients, proponents, and regulators across Saskatchewan and Manitoba
  • Set regulatory strategy for complex environmental assessments, permitting, and compliance programs — from early planning through approvals
  • Serve as Project Director, owning scope, schedule, risk, regulatory engagement, and client confidence
  • Be the face of regulatory leadership with Saskatchewan regulators, staying ahead of policy direction, expectations, and emerging risks
  • Guide clients through critical decisions, consultations, and regulatory pathways with confidence and clarity
  • Actively manage risk — regulatory, schedule, reputational, and commercial — across major projects
  • Build and mentor high‑performing teams, developing the next generation of regulatory practitioners
  • Raise the bar on quality and consistency, ensuring defensible, practical, and approval‑ready deliverables

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • 15+ years of experience in environmental assessment, permitting, and regulatory compliance, with a strong Prairie focus
  • Proven seller‑doer mindset — you’ve supported pursuits, grown client accounts, and converted trust into work
  • Deep, practical knowledge of Saskatchewan (and Manitoba) regulatory frameworks and approval processes
  • Direct experience working with Saskatchewan regulators on complex or high‑profile projects
  • Established relationships with clients, industry, and regulators in Saskatchewan and/or Manitoba
  • Strong consulting leadership experience, balancing multiple clients, projects, and priorities
  • Recognized technical credibility that clients and regulators trust
  • Eligibility for, or possession of, a professional designation (RPBio, P.Biol., P.Eng., or equivalent)

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $132,700 – $175,800
MB & ON: $121,100 – $166,700
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $119,900 – $159,200
