Worley is seeking applications from Senior Hydrologists / surface water engineers to join our existing Water Resources team supporting global projects.
Worley’s Water Resources team is a diverse group of hydrologists, hydrogeologists and water engineers. Working collaboratively as one global team, we deliver water management solutions for our clients as an independent service line as well as part of larger multidisciplinary teams on a broad range of exciting projects. We are industry leaders who partner with our clients to deliver some of the most technically challenging water projects across Australia and internationally. We strive to enhance our client’s projects through integrating best practice water stewardship principles supported by technical excellence.
Working as part of a team of water professionals, we undertake surface water projects for mining, hydrocarbons, chemicals and infrastructure clients.
We are looking for applicants with relevant technical experience, excellent oral and written communication skills, emerging/strong leadership skills with a strong client focus and passion for building and working in a multi-disciplinary team environment. An innovative approach towards problem solving and the ability to develop profitable business relationships are also very important At Worley, there are opportunities to work on existing large-scale world class projects focused on design and execution of field investigations and assessments supporting conceptual and detailed engineering design of water-related aspects on a wide variety of projects from inception to closure.The RoleAs a Senior Technical Consultant, Water Engineer, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc. Candidates require:Tertiary level qualifications in civil, environmental or water resources engineering from a recognised institution.Proven experience in consulting and technical leadership of projects.5 to 10 years’ experience in: hydrological and hydraulic modelling, water balance modelling water quality studies drainage design, water sensitive urban design, soil erosion and sediment control and supervision, review and delivery of reports.Significant experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.Strong communication skills, and actively seeks and promotes collaboration with team members and co-workers. The candidate should be enthusiastic about developing capabilities, developing and implementing marketing strategies and should be capable of working at an advanced level within an experienced team.Specific AccountabilitiesThe successful candidate will have the following specific accountabilities:Collaborate with the global surface water team in the delivery of projects.Provide technical input and support on projects as required.Planning and supervising surface water projects in the office and in the field.Preparation of proposals, contract documentation and technical specifications.Contribute to multi-disciplinary pursuits and growth of the team.Additional Responsibilities:Collaboration with peers and internal clients within the Worley global business.Be responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of Worley’s Quality Assurance System, andImplement safe work practices and be responsible for personal safety. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
