At Coates, we’re transforming how we deliver technology to support our people, customers, and operations. As a Senior Technical Business Analyst, you’ll play a critical role within our IT Program Delivery Team, bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll work across multiple systems and business areas - translating complex requirements into clear, actionable technical solutions that align with Coates’ strategic direction and architecture.

You’ll be trusted as a key advisor, bringing deep understanding of both business processes and system design — and helping shape how technology supports Coates now and into the future.

You’ll enjoy variety in your role including:

You’ll take ownership of analysis and solution design across key initiatives, including:

• Working with stakeholders across the business to understand challenges and define solutions across systems, processes and data
• Translating business requirements into clear technical specifications, user stories and solution designs
• Leading workshops and technical design sessions to drive alignment and outcomes
• Mapping current and future state processes, identifying gaps and defining system behaviours and integrations
• Supporting agile delivery through epic refinement, story breakdown, and collaboration with delivery teams
• Partnering closely with developers, testers and architects to ensure solutions are aligned, buildable and fit for purpose
• Contributing to test planning, implementation, and change activities to ensure successful delivery
• Acting as a trusted technical advisor, providing guidance on solution design and integration approaches

What you’ll bring to the role

• A tertiary qualification in IT, Business, Information Management or a related discipline
• 8+ years’ experience as a Technical Business Analyst in complex, enterprise environments
• Strong experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle — from requirements and design through to build, testing and implementation
• Proven capability in process mapping, technical specification writing, and creating clear, high-quality documentation and diagrams
• Experience working with data, analytics, and digital/customer experience initiatives (e.g. websites or mobile applications) will be highly regarded
