Job Description

Scorewarrior is a game developer and publisher based in Limassol, Cyprus. The company focuses on the 4X strategy genre, with an ambitious goal to grow its hit game, Total Battle, to become the No.1 strategy game in the world. Our product: We are currently working on Total Battle - an MMO 4X strategy game with a deep political system and lots of player interaction. Players take on the role of a commander and need to develop their city, forge alliances, fight against monsters, and conquer other players.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing "one-click" delivery pipelines and validation scripts to automate the export of assets from DCC tools directly to the game client.

  • Developing shaders, VFX, and supporting 3D graphics/animation integration within Cocos 2d-x and Unity engines.

  • Driving rendering optimization and regular profiling (draw calls, memory, LODs) to ensure high performance across mobile and desktop platforms.

  • Building internal utilities and Figma API plugins to reconcile asset usage, automate tagging, and streamline UI implementation.

  • Establishing technical standards, Git versioning rules, and documentation to bridge the gap between the Art and Development teams.

Requirements

  • Experience in the gaming industry in a Senior Technical Artist position.

  • You are "more of a programmer than an artist."

  • Experience working with 3D support in engines like Cocos 2d-x and Unity.

  • Ability to write scripts for automation, tools, and shaders.

  • Deep understanding of draw calls, batching, memory management, and asset weight optimization.

  • Experience with Git, CI/CD for art assets, and DCC tools (Blender/3ds Max).

About Scorewarrior

Our company was founded in 2015 in Cyprus with the initial goal of publishing and operating third-party games.

In 2016 we decided that we wanted to work with our own games instead of ready-made products. We were excited by the idea of being a full-cycle game development studio: to launch a game, gain initial traction, and then scale up the game globally and become a leader in the genre.

2017 saw the arrival of our first game, Total Battle. We discovered the game in its very early stages, and we believed in its great potential, so we made it our goal to focus on this single title and become the leader in the 4X strategy genre.

In 2021, we began to transform the company into a full-cycle game development studio, adding game developers, designers, and artists to our already existing publishing team, which consisted of our finance, legal, marketing, community, and support staff. We finished this process in 2022, and we now operate from our two offices in Limassol.
