This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week
The remuneration range for this role is $80,369 to $113,462 (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience
The opportunity
As Senior Technical Advisor for Condition Assessment activities you will be joining a new team and be responsible for providing advanced technical expertise in assessing the condition of the three waters network and utility assets. You will bring a strong practical knowledge and hands-on experience with assessment equipment and methodologies. You’ll provide guidance on equipment selection, validate assessment approaches, and ensure fieldwork aligns with best practice standards.
In this role you will:
Provide technical support, guidance and mentoring to Technical Advisors
Lead investigations of complex or escalated issues, including those requiring advanced technical expertise
Plan and coordinate required resources, subcontractors and customer communications
Provide direction on assessment methodologies, tool usage and asset inspection prioritisation
Engage and coordinate with external contractors to ensure completion of specialist work in alignment with asset condition requirements
Research and implement the use of new condition assessment technologies
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring:
Significant experience in asset inspection, condition assessment or maintenance in a utility or infrastructure environment in relation to three waters
Knowledge of Water supply, wastewater and stormwater systems, operation and maintenance management systems
Proven ability to collaborate across multiple teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders
Practical knowledge and experience in the application of risk management practices
Strong technical expertise in a wide range of assessment tools including CCTV, pressure testing and dye testing, as well as visual inspections
A relevant Technical or Trade qualification or equivalent practical experience
A full NZ Class 1 Drivers Licence and a strong commitment to health and safety
