Responsible for technical accounting support to all Porsche affiliates in US and Canada for Zycus system (procure to pay software). In addition, this role takes the lead to complete all statutory government reporting for assigned entities in US & Canada. Responsible to reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts (Trade payables, prepaid accounts, etc.). Other Responsibilities include general accounting, audit preparation and support, maintaining adequate internal controls. An autonomous working style with a high degree of accuracy is a crucial necessity to ensure the effective and efficient completion of these functions.

The position works closely with accounting management.

Roles & responsibilities

  • Maintain various sub-ledgers to support general ledger accounts and reconcile the sub-ledgers to the general ledger to ensure integrity of systems and internal controls. Provide monthly reconciliations to Manager, Corporate Accounting for review and approval
  • Prepare journal entries; control and reconcile assigned accounts
  • Initiate changes in the Zycus system and monitor the interface from Zycus to SAP; monitor and audit changes made within the system; enforce and strengthen internal controls
  • Prepare the internal and external financial reports in IFRS; and supporting schedules as needed
  • Create, document, and implement process controls across multiple legal entities to include the identification of process efficiencies.
  • Prepare audit work papers and work closely with auditors in year-end examination.
  • Perform periodic audits of Zycus system to ensure data integrity
  • Support the PCNA Corporate Accounting team with Zycus & SAP inquiries
  • Provide Zycus training, on-the-job and in specific classes
  • Maintain and improve Zycus procure to pay software
  • Provide guidance and answer questions regarding Zycus specific questions
  • Prepare forms and submissions needed for government reporting
  • Maintain integration between SAP & Zycus, diagnose root cause of errors as necessary
  • Assist with external auditor requests
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Support with preparing consolidated financial statements

Qualifications

Required qualifications include:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting is required
  • 3-5 years accounting, financial analysis or in related area experience is required
  • Extensive personal computer skills in Microsoft Office required including PowerPoint and excellence in Excel
  • Strong analytical skills is required; excellent communication skills
  • Commitment to excellence
  • Must be proficient and proactive

Preferred qualifications include:

  • 5-7 years accounting, financial analysis or in related area experience is required
  • CPA Preferred
  • Balance Sheet reconciliation experience preferred
  • Knowledge in SAP, and/or Zycus preferred

Percentage of required travel: 5%

Schedule/Shift: More than 40 hour work week may be required during high volume periods

The salary range for this role is $85,000-$105,000. However, it is important to note that at Porsche, compensation range is dependent on geographic location. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skillset. Porsche reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness.

Physical requirements

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
