Are you a strategic science leader with a passion for wetlands, estuaries and catchments? Do you thrive on delivering impactful science programs that influence environmental policy and inform management decisions, strengthen partnerships and drive meaningful environmental outcomes? If so, this could be your next opportunity.

We’re seeking an experienced and collaborative Senior Team Leader Estuaries and Catchments to join the Water, Wetlands and Coastal Science team within DCCEEW. In this influential role, you will lead the design and delivery of high-quality science programs that support evidence-based decision making across government and contribute to the protection and sustainable management of NSW’s waterways and coastal environments.

About You
You’re an accomplished science leader with extensive experience developing and delivering rigorous science programs across estuaries and catchments science. You are recognised for your expertise and your ability to lead flexible, multidisciplinary teams that foster collaboration, innovation and customer-focused outcomes.

You bring strong stakeholder engagement capability, with demonstrated success building and maintaining productive relationships across government agencies, research institutions and external partners to deliver high-quality science programs and strategic environmental outcomes.

Essential Requirements

  • Degree level scientific qualifications and/or equivalent experience in a relevant scientific field.
