About the role

Our Tax team, composed of 11 people, is integrated in the Finance department and focuses on tax matters in our production sites, R&I centres and administration collaboration with Solvay global teams.

As a Senior Tax Manager China, you will work on China tax affairs, and coordination of tax aspects of transactions with Solvay related parties. You will get the opportunity to contribute to Solvay operations in China, using your knowledge to identify and implement the appropriate tax strategy for the business in the region. You will be accountable for:

  • Direct taxation (particularly CIT, Corporate Income Tax), tax audits (including international procedures), litigation,
  • Support restructuring, corporate M&A, international taxation
  • Collaboration with Solvay Finance Shared Services regarding and review of tax
  • Point of contact and tax coordinator for transactions involving other APAC countries, supporting Regional Head of Tax APAC

We offer a fixed-term contract based on hybrid working mode.

About you

Relevant education degree or equivalent in China tax law. Relevant work experience in law firm or industry (8-10 years).

Competencies:

  • Ability to understand the group's businesses, to link subjects to each other (financing, operational, etc.) to define the most appropriate and sustainable tax position will be a key asset.
  • The China Tax Manager shall be able to interact with their tax counterparts (other tax managers, TP specialist), stakeholders within the finance department (accounting, controlling, consolidation, treasury) and other departments of the group (legal, R&I, etc.)

About the pay

Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is: CNY 561,200 – CNY 701,500 per year in Shanghai, China

Your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
