The Opportunity

As a Senior Tax Manager, you'll serve as a key leader within the Tax practice, overseeing complex client engagements while acting as a strategic advisor to business owners and executive leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Advisory & Client Consulting

• Serve as a trusted advisor to business owners and key stakeholders
• Consult on complex tax matters impacting client operations and growth
• Provide proactive tax planning and strategic recommendations
• Identify opportunities for operational improvements and business efficiencies
• Deliver value-added advisory services throughout the year

Client Relationship Management

• Maintain ownership of complex client engagements and projects
• Build and strengthen long-term client relationships
• Ensure client expectations are exceeded through exceptional service
• Serve as a primary contact for sophisticated tax and business matters
• Drive client retention and satisfaction initiatives

Engagement Leadership

• Oversee engagements from planning through completion
• Coordinate engagement teams and allocate resources effectively
• Ensure projects remain on budget and meet quality standards
• Review work at all levels of the engagement process
• Monitor engagement profitability and efficiency

Business Development & Growth

• Develop new business opportunities
• Expand services with existing clients
• Participate in networking and relationship-building activities
• Support growth initiatives across the tax practice
• Contribute to firm-wide revenue and expansion goals

Leadership & Talent Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop tax professionals across multiple levels
• Provide coaching, technical guidance, and performance feedback
• Support recruiting and retention initiatives
• Assist with staffing strategies and career development efforts
• Create opportunities for team growth and advancement

Professional Development & Industry Leadership

• Continue building expertise within designated industries and service areas
• Represent the firm at professional and community events
• Facilitate professional development programs
• Contribute thought leadership through articles, presentations, and training

Qualifications

Required

• Active CPA License
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• 10+ years of public accounting experience
• Significant tax planning and compliance experience
• Strong client relationship management abilities
• Experience supervising and developing staff
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong project management and organizational abilities
