The Opportunity

As a Senior Tax Manager, you'll serve as a key advisor and leader within the tax practice while helping clients navigate increasingly complex financial and tax matters.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Planning & Advisory

• Develop proactive tax planning strategies for business and individual clients
• Provide guidance on entity structure and business transactions
• Research and resolve complex tax matters
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and planning initiatives
• Help clients achieve long-term financial and business objectives

Client Relationship Management

• Serve as a trusted advisor to business owners and executives
• Lead client meetings and strategic planning discussions
• Build and maintain long-term client relationships
• Deliver exceptional service and responsiveness
• Identify opportunities to expand client services

Tax Compliance & Review

• Review complex individual and business tax returns
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
• Manage engagement quality and technical accuracy
• Oversee deadlines, workflow, and client deliverables
• Assist with IRS and state tax matters

Leadership & Staff Development

• Supervise, mentor, and develop tax professionals
• Review work product and provide feedback
• Support recruiting, training, and staff development initiatives
• Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented culture
• Help build the next generation of firm leaders

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA license strongly preferred
• 7+ years of public accounting tax experience
• Experience reviewing complex individual and business tax returns
• Strong tax planning and advisory background
• Experience managing client relationships
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Strong project management and organizational skills
