Job Description

1. Job Purpose

The Senior Tax Analyst is responsible for managing complex China indirect tax compliance, advisory, and risk management matters. This role plays a critical part in supporting business operations, driving tax projects, and partnering with finance and business stakeholders. The position requires strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

2. Accountabilities

  • Prepare monthly tax reports, including but not limited to VAT returns, VAT refund filings, stamp duty, and other local tax filings, accurately and on time.
  • Complete month-end closing tasks related to tax accounting in compliance with SOX controls and US GAAP requirements.
  • Maintain strong tax governance, documentation standards, and internal control processes.
  • Maintain effective relationships with tax authorities and facilitate smooth communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Provide day-to-day tax advice to finance and business teams on transactions and operational matters.
  • Handle other ad hoc tax matters, such as capital injection reporting, VAT verification, and tax audit support.
  • Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and deliver high-quality work in a timely manner.

4. Knowledge / Experience / Skills Needed

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related disciplines
  • CPA, CTA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred
  • Minimum 3- 5 years of relevant tax experience.
  • Experience in multinational companies, shared service centers, or Big 4 strongly preferred

5. Technical Skills

  • Strong working proficiency in English for business and technical communication
  • ERP experience (SAP/Oracle) preferred
