SENIOR INDIRECT TAX ANALYST

As our Senior Indirect Tax Analyst, you will support Coty’s EMEA indirect tax compliance agenda, ensuring accurate and timely VAT reporting across multiple jurisdictions while contributing to process improvements and automation initiatives in a dynamic international environment.

THE ROLE

OPTIMIZE, ENABLE, INNOVATE!

As our Senior Indirect Tax Analyst, you play a key role in preparing and submitting VAT and related indirect tax filings across EMEA. You will work closely with Shared Service Centers and tax experts, ensure compliance, support audits, and contribute to improving and automating VAT processes across multiple jurisdictions.
You will be part of the Indirect Tax team based in Warsaw, supported by the Shared Service Center in Warsaw, and you will manage:

1. VAT Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure quality assurance and timely submission of VAT, ESL, and Intrastat declarations across multiple countries
• Prepare and submit corrective VAT returns, including approval of VAT batches
• Support quarter‑end VAT and indirect tax reporting processes
• Maintain and update STLF files for countries within scope
• Coordinate and process VAT and other indirect tax payments

2. Reviews, Reconciliations & Controls

• Review and verify sales and purchase invoices for VAT compliance
• Perform reconciliations between customs (SAD) documents and commercial invoices
• Review reconciliations prepared by the BPO and propose write‑offs to clear aged items
• Design and support the implementation of VAT data control checks
• Raise and follow up IT tickets related to SAP and master‑data issues

3. Audits, Refunds & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Prepare and support VAT refund claims in line with EU VAT Refund Directives
• Assist with VAT and indirect tax audits and respond to audit queries
• Collaborate with Tax Managers and Shared Service Centers to resolve VAT and invoicing issues
• Support cross‑functional collaboration across Finance, SSC, and IT

4. Process Improvement & Automation

• Support the implementation and automation of VAT reporting technology
• Assist with UAT testing for new VAT legislation and system changes
• Identify and initiate process improvement opportunities
• Prepare purchase orders for compliance and advisory fees

YOU ARE A COTY FIT

As a hands‑on and detail‑oriented tax professional, you thrive in an international environment and are eager to continuously expand your VAT expertise.

Your skills and experience include:

• University degree in Tax Law, Accounting, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in VAT compliance, preferably in an international environment
• Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems
• Excellent Excel skills; Power BI is a plus
• Fluent English; additional European languages are an advantage
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Energetic, proactive, and outcome‑focused mindset
• Genuine interest in automation and process improvement
