Job title: Senior Tax Advisor

Company: International Mining Equipment Supplier

Location: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

Responsibilities:

• Provide tax advisory and planning support for business transactions, ensuring risk mitigation and tax optimization
• Oversee preparation and review of all tax returns (CIT, PIT, VAT, WHT, transfer pricing, and other statutory filings)
• Monitor tax legislation changes and ensure compliance with local and international tax laws
• Manage tax audits, liaise with tax authorities, and address audit inquiries
• Lead transfer pricing compliance, documentation (master/local files), and economic analysis
• Review financial statements for tax compliance and identify potential risks
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting on tax exposure and compliance
• Coordinate with external consultants and headquarters on international tax matters
• Ensure timely submission of tax filings and regulatory documents
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements and skills:

• Must have completed a designated accounting program (CPTA).
• Must have 3-5 years progressive accounting experience in a full cycle computerized accounting environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting laws and procedures.
• Proven experience as a tax accountant, tax analyst, or similar.
• Position requires incumbent to be analytical, efficient and detail oriented with the ability to prepare complex reports, communicate effectively and maintain good working relationships within all departments of the company.
• Requires excellent spreadsheet skills, as well as experience with computerized accounting systems.
• Requires excellent oral and written communication skills
