The Opportunity

As a Senior Tax Accountant, you'll serve as a key member of the tax team while helping clients navigate increasingly complex tax matters and business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Preparation & Review

• Prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns
• Review tax workpapers and supporting documentation
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements
• Maintain exceptional standards of quality and accuracy
• Assist with complex tax engagements and special projects

Tax Planning & Advisory

• Advise clients on tax planning strategies and opportunities
• Research complex tax matters and develop practical solutions
• Assist business owners with tax-efficient decision-making
• Stay current on changing tax laws and regulations
• Deliver proactive planning recommendations throughout the year

Client Relationships

• Develop and maintain strong client relationships
• Serve as a trusted advisor to business owners and individuals
• Communicate tax matters clearly and effectively
• Deliver exceptional responsiveness and client service
• Help identify opportunities to provide additional value to clients

Leadership & Team Development

• Mentor and review the work of junior professionals
• Assist with staff development and training initiatives
• Support engagement management and workflow planning

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of public accounting experience
• Experience preparing and reviewing business and individual tax returns
• Experience working with closely held businesses and business owners
• Strong technical tax knowledge
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
