Compensation: $80,000 - $105,000 Base + Bonus Opportunities

The Opportunity

As a Senior Tax Accountant, you'll manage tax projects from initial information gathering through final delivery while working directly with clients, partners, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Compliance & Review

• Prepare and review individual and business tax returns
• Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
• Identify technical tax issues and develop solutions
• Maintain high standards of accuracy and quality

Tax Planning & Advisory

• Identify proactive tax planning opportunities
• Support client planning discussions and strategy implementation
• Research complex tax issues and prepare recommendations
• Assist clients with operational and financial decisions
• Stay current on tax law and regulatory developments

Client Relationship Management

• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients
• Build trusted relationships with business owners
• Communicate proactively throughout engagements
• Deliver exceptional responsiveness and client service
• Help clients navigate tax and business challenges

Leadership & Team Development

• Review work prepared by junior staff
• Delegate assignments and monitor progress
• Mentor and coach developing professionals
• Provide constructive feedback and technical guidance
• Support team growth and development

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of public accounting tax experience
• Experience preparing and reviewing business and individual tax returns
• Strong understanding of federal and state taxation
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
