We are looking for a Senior Tax Accountant who is organized, motivated, initiative-taking, and accountable for their work but can impact and become a future business partner in a accounting firm. Strategizing and implementing plans to assist a diverse client base in improving their financial reporting systems and economic performance. Specific tasks are Tax review, Complex tax preparation, IRS noticesResearch, IRS representation. Our aim is to continue to grow by partnering with our increasing client base by minimizing the routine elements of accounting services which can be automated while maximizing our skills at recognizing opportunities and assisting clients to seize them, and perform other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements:

• A minimum 5 years in Public accounting - administrative support experience in a CPA firm setting
• Experience with various Federal and State tax returns including Individual, Corporate, Trust, Estate, Nonprofit and Partnership
• Ability and experience interfacing and effectively communicating with clients involved in various industries regarding QuickBooks and business needs
• Strong accounting knowledge, US GAAP, and Client Accounting Support
• Strong technology skills - Excel, Word, Outlook, and UltraTax software
• Supervisor experience coupled with strong expertise and leadership abilities
• Tax review (corporate, individual and partnership tax returns)
• Complex tax preparation
• Handling IRS and state tax notices (installment agreements, etc.)
• IRS Research
• IRS representation
• Demonstrating flexibility and creativity in solving problems
• Performing proactively and self-manage
• Must be organized and meticulous
• Developing an understanding of clients' businesses and aspects of their industries
• Assisting clients with special projects
• Developing and sustaining business relationships to increase firm's client basis

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• QuickBooks™ Online ProAdvisor Certification
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Certification or Enrolled Agent (EA) Certification

• Master’s or MBA in Accounting
