We’re looking for a strategic and forward-thinking Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our People and Strategy Group. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead high-impact recruitment and talent initiatives that directly support our enterprise-wide transformation and shape the future of our organisation. This is an initial fixed-term contract role through to June 30, 2027.

As a trusted advisor to senior technology, digital, and project delivery leaders, you'll deliver innovative talent solutions that enable critical technology initiatives and transformation programs. You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment of permanent technology talent, providing strategic workforce planning, market insights, and talent acquisition expertise to build high-performing teams and strengthen our long-term capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for permanent technology and digital roles, including cyber security, software development, data and analytics, infrastructure, architecture, business analysis, and project delivery.
  • Partner with leaders to develop workforce plans and talent acquisition strategies that address current and future capability needs.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill technology skill sets through proactive sourcing and market engagement.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, providing expert guidance on recruitment, assessment, selection, and market trends.
  • Leverage recruitment data, talent insights, and market intelligence to support workforce decisions and drive continuous improvement.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience recruiting permanent technology, digital, or transformation talent in a complex or fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of the technology labour market, including sourcing strategies for scarce and specialist skill sets.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver workforce planning and talent acquisition outcomes.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills.
  • A proactive, analytical mindset with the ability to translate market insights into practical hiring strategies.
  • Experience using contemporary sourcing techniques, talent mapping, and proactive candidate engagement approaches.
  • Exposure to public sector recruitment and Queensland Government recruitment frameworks will be highly regarded.
