Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist
The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing full-cycle recruitment for senior leadership and critical professional positions across a community-focused organization. This role focuses on identifying, attracting, assessing, and hiring high-impact leaders and key contributors who support organizational performance and growth.
The ideal candidate brings expertise in executive recruitment, strategic sourcing, talent pipeline development, and stakeholder partnership. This individual will leverage proactive sourcing strategies to engage passive talent, build long-term candidate relationships, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts for senior leadership and critical professional positions across multiple regions and business units.
- Develop and execute strategic talent acquisition plans utilizing executive search, direct sourcing, networking, and passive candidate engagement techniques.
- Partner with hiring managers and senior leaders to define role requirements, establish candidate profiles, and align hiring strategies with organizational objectives.
- Source, screen, and assess candidates using structured interviews, competency-based evaluations, and leadership assessment methodologies.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines to support current and future leadership hiring needs.
- Manage candidate activity, documentation, and reporting within the applicant tracking system while ensuring compliance and data integrity.
- Provide regular updates and recruiting insights to hiring leaders regarding candidate pipelines, hiring progress, and market trends.
- Collaborate with HR and business leaders to develop competitive offer strategies and support the offer negotiation process.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority searches simultaneously.
- Strong experience sourcing, assessing, and recruiting leadership-level talent in complex or multi-site organizations.
- Demonstrated expertise in executive search, direct sourcing, and passive candidate engagement strategies.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong consultative approach with internal stakeholders and hiring managers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting education, nonprofit, public sector, or other mission-driven organizations.
- Understanding of leadership competencies, organizational effectiveness, and talent assessment methodologies.
- Experience recruiting for leadership, operational, or professional-level positions across multiple locations.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
- 8+ years of talent acquisition or recruitment experience, including leadership-level recruiting.
- Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems and recruitment technologies.
- Demonstrated track record of building talent pipelines and filling hard-to-recruit positions.
Work Environment
