Job Description
Fresh Food, Happy Dogs.
We believe dogs deserve the healthiest, most natural and tastiest meals - with none of the nasties. That’s why we make FRESHly prepared food, cooked just like you would at home and delivered direct to our customers in perfect portions. As a B-Corp certified company, you’re joining a sustainable business that genuinely cares about our people, our products and our impact on the planet. Our goal is simple: to help dogs live healthier, happier, and longer lives, while leaving humans smiling after every interaction. We’ve come a long way since our co-founders (Kev, Dave & Piotr), hand delivered the very first Butternut Box & Psibufet box. Today, we feed hundreds of thousands of hungry dogs across the UK and Europe - but we won’t stop until we’re feeding dogs everywhere. To get there, we need a team of brilliant people who share that ambition to come and work for us.
We’re now looking for a Senior Talent Acquisition Lead to take ownership of hiring across our multi-site manufacturing and fulfilment portfolio (Sam’s Kitchen, Rudie’s Kitchen, and Aces Pantry), as well as future sites as we continue to scale. Based on site at Sam’s Kitchen in Zabrze, Poland, this is a high impact, hands on leadership role - perfect for someone who thrives in hyper growth environments and wants to build a scalable hiring infrastructure from scratch.
This isn’t a passive management role. You will directly lead our cross border Operations hiring team (3 people across the UK and Poland), partner closely with international site leadership, and drive the efforts behind doubling Sam’s Kitchen headcount from 300 to 600 over the years to come. By personalising and executing senior level hiring across both the UK and Poland, you will actively eliminate our reliance on third party recruitment agencies. This role perfectly blends international team leadership, executive headhunting, workforce planning, and data analytics - with a heavy focus on leveraging AI and automation to scale what we do.
🧠 What you’ll be responsible for:
- Directly line manage, coach, and develop a cross-border team of 3 TA Partners: 1 TA Partner local to you in Poland, and 2 TA Partners next door to each other in the UK.
- Centralise recruitment reporting lines across the Operations hiring pod, driving high performance and consistency across different geographic sites - whilst also aligning with the global TA Centre of Excellence.
- Act as the strategic anchor on the ground in Zabrze to successfully steer and execute the massive headcount ramp up from 300 to 600 people over the coming years.
- Move the business from reactive hiring to proactive workforce planning by mapping out attrition trends, capacity modelling, and future site growth before we scale again.
- Actively headhunt and deliver on all senior, corporate, and business critical roles across all sites (Poland and UK).
- Take full ownership of executive level pipelines to aggressively cut and eliminate external recruitment agency spend across the entire Ops recruitment function.
- Build out a robust, data driven TA function - tracking and utilising metrics like time to hire, pipeline health, quality of hire, and attrition conversion rates.
- Use data to spot recruitment bottlenecks early, report risks and opportunities directly to senior leadership, and back up strategic decisions.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual, repetitive tasks across the international hiring workflow.
- Leverage modern AI tools to optimise our sourcing, screening, and outreach speed so the team can focus on high value human interaction.
🧩 What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in a TA leadership or management role, specifically within fast paced manufacturing, high-volume operations, or supply chain environments.
- You’ve been through the experience of a massive headcount ramp up before and know how to build the systems needed to double a site’s size.
- A highly skilled, hands on headhunter who is completely confident mapping the market and closing senior/executive level candidates in both Poland and the UK.
- Highly data literate. You don’t guess; you use metrics to influence stakeholders, solve operational inefficiencies, and back up your strategy.
- A strong interest (or proven experience) in embedding AI, modern ATS tools, and automation into daily recruitment workflows.
- Based locally and excited to be on-site, embedded in the business at Sam’s Kitchen in Zabrze. Comfortably fluent in English to seamlessly partner with the UK SLT and your UK based manager.
⏳ The interview process:
- Initial call with your dedicated Talent Acquisition Partner, carried out remotely.
- Sometimes the process will include a take home task, or a presentation of some kind.
- Skills interview, usually carried out remotely.
- Behaviours interview, usually carried out in person.
- Depending on the seniority of the role you're applying for, there may be a final Leadership interview as a final step.
We usually expect our interview process to take 3-5 weeks, end to end.
🙌 Our benefits:
- 📄 Employment based on a contract of employment
- 🌿 Additional days off
- 🥩 Free food for your dog
- 🩺 Medicover private medical care
- 🤾♀️ Multisport card
- 👐 Paid volunteering program
- 🍽️ Discounted meals and free drinks
- 🎓 Training and development opportunities
- 🎉 Integration meetings and company events
- 🛋️ Comfortable, bright, and spacious kitchen area with a relaxation zone
- 🚗 Free parking
... And above all, a team that loves dogs.
💡 Important things to note:
- We recommend getting your application in as soon as possible. We reserve the right to close the role early.
- You must be able to speak C2 level or fluent English, as well as fluent Polish.
- Our team thrives on collaboration. We spend 4 days a week on site at Sam's Kitchen and 1 day at home Because being together is a big part of our culture, we’re looking for someone within a comfortable commutable distance to our site in Zabrze. Due to the nature of this role, quarterly travel to our UK site is expected.
- We’re a small (but mighty!) recruitment team. We aim to respond to everyone personally, but if we’re flooded with brilliant applications, we may need to close the role early. We appreciate your patience while we review applications.
- For this specific role, we’re unable to offer visa sponsorship, so you’ll need the right to work in Poland.
❗️We believe in a seat at the table for everyone.
