 TRABUS is seeking a highly skilled and motivated  Senior Network Engineer to support the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC) Transport and Computing Infrastructure Program Office (Code 551) and their development of the Unmanned Carrier Aviation (UCA) Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence (C4I) Network for the MQ-25 Stingray Carrier Aviation Refueling platform.  The network is based on the Automated Network Transport System (ANTS) and the Senior Network Engineer will implement networking features for operational ANTS Unified Software Build (USB) that will allow for integration of ADNS with operational MQ-25A. This engineering work includes correction of deficiencies which will be incorporated into the operational ANTS network and the USB.  will develop, assist, and support all network engineering tests for the unmanned air vehicle, and the communications network both ashore and afloat. 


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in upgrade of configurations for Cisco & Juniper based routers and switches, TACLANE Type-1 encryptors, and Linux-based firewalls, participating in design reviews and peer reviews, and verifying designs in both informal and formal qualification test events.
  • Upgrade network engineering to include performing routing, switching, firewall filtering, and/or in-line network encryption for ARCS and ADNS ground-based networking and data transport equipment
  • Update ADNS and MQ-25A engineering plans between Unmanned Mission Control Station (UMCS) shore systems and PEO C4I Programs of Record, specifically Secure Tactical Assured Command and Control (STACC), to enhance the UCA mission.
  • Sustain interfaces between the UCA air vehicle, UMCS, and PEO C4I communications, networking services, and Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination (TCPED) systems to ensure that they are able to interface properly with each update to the engineering plans
  • Update ADNS and MQ-25A engineering plans between UMCS shore systems and PEO C4I Programs of Record, specifically STACC, to enhance the UCA mission.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in network engineering; over 5 years working with ADNS preferred; over 1 year experience with ANTS preferred; familiarity with ADNS Engineering Change Request processes preferred
  • Five (5) years of experience with configuration of OSPF, PIM, IGMP, VRRP, and IPSec (as implemented with HAIPE devices);
  • Understanding of network security best practices; an understanding of RHEL IPTables
  • Understanding of the use and configuration of encryption devices (KG-175D, KG-175F, KG-175N);
  • Active CCNA certification or equivalent level of vendor certifications, or higher certification (e.g. CCNP, CCIE)
  • Active Security+ or CCNA Security, or higher certification (e.g. CISSP)
  • Experience in developing network topology preferred.
  • Experience and subject matter expert (SME) on AN/ARC-210 airborne tactical radios.
  • Experience configuring VHF/UHF, HAVEQUICK, SINCGARS, and SATCOM waveforms
  • Skilled in setting up and troubleshooting frequency hopping and time-synchronized radio networks
  • Experience with COMSEC key loading, OTAR, and secure voice/data operations.

DESIRED:
  • Experience with integration of ARC-210 radios with aircraft mission systems (MIL-STD-1553, ARINC, Ethernet).
  • Capable to perform radio network testing, interoperability validation, and RF troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting C4I and tactical data link environments in operational or test settings.
  • Top Secret clearance with SCI Eligibility
  • Recent experience with Unmanned Vehicles, network communications, and carrier aviation network testing
  • Be customer focused, team-oriented, and motivated, taking ownership of assigned tasks
  • Have proven ability to self-manage, as well as manage interdisciplinary relationships
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, procedural compliance, and the ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously while meeting deadlines

EDUCATION       
  • Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Information/Management or a related field.
