About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Systems operations Engineer


In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area
  • Contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks
  • Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
  • Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
  • Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in Oracle Essbase support Engineer
  • Hands-on Autosys job scheduling
  • Proficiency in Oracle DB and SQL
  • Good knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows environments
  • Experience in Python or Shell scripting
  • Familiarity with ITSM/ITIL processes
  • Hyperion Planning / HFM / FCCS exposure
  • Cloud basics (Azure/AWS/OCI)
  • Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Finance domain knowledge (Liquidity, Accounting, FP&A)
  • Provide L2/L3 production support for Oracle Essbase-based finance applications
  • Ensure stability, performance, and availability of critical financial systems
  • Drive automation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement
  • Support Oracle Essbase (BSO/ASO cubes, Planning, Reporting)
  • Troubleshoot calc script failures, data load issues, and cube performance
  • Perform metadata updates, outline changes, and data validation
  • Monitor aggregations, partitions, and optimize performance

Incident & Problem Management

  • Manage incidents and service requests via ITSM tools (ServiceNow/Remedy)
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes
  • Ensure SLA adherence and production stability
  • Provide support during month-end/quarter-end cycles

Autosys / Batch Management

  • Monitor Autosys jobs and batch processing pipelines
  • Troubleshoot job failures and dependency issues
  • Create and maintain job schedules and workflows

Database (Oracle/SQL)

  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data validation and analysis
  • Support backend Oracle database operations
  • Troubleshoot data discrepancies and upstream/downstream issues

Platform Support (Unix/Windows)

  • Manage application environments on Unix/Linux and Windows
  • Troubleshoot system, file, and environment-related issues
  • Monitor logs, services, and application health
