PROFESSIONAL SERVICES | TECHNICAL PROJECTS
LANSING, MI
Our Senior Systems Integrators are responsible for accurate and timely completion of the projects assigned to them. They interface with a myriad of people, environments, and technologies across our entire customer base during the project lifecycle. They work closely with our Managed Services and Business Services teams before, during and after implementation to ensure visibility on all project work. Their primary focus is to complete technical project work on time and drive customer satisfaction. They attend project kick off meetings, internal and external, and after-action review meetings regularly. Our Senior Systems Integrators are the face of Convergence Professional Services to our customers and must display confidence and comprehensive knowledge of the work to be performed.
WHAT DO OUR SENIOR SYSTEMS INTEGRATOR DO?
- Deliver exceptional service, demonstrating patience, empathy, and confidence while working with diverse businesses, technologies, and individuals.
- Submit detailed time sheets daily.
- Complete all project work assigned:
- - Follow established standards
- - Adhere to the deliverables/objectives as defined in the Statement of Work
- - Monitor time against forecasted schedule to ensure adherence to the project budget
- - Communicate any changes (technical, time impacts, etc.) to the Project Manager as soon as possible
- Projects may include, but not be limited to:
- - Server deployment and decommissioning
- - Client line of business software deployments, upgrades, & migrations
- - Mail migrations using Microsoft Exchange
- - Azure cloud migrations
- - VCenter deployments
- - MFA and M365 security enhancements
- - ROAM (Microsoft Teams and VoIP solution)
- - Deploy, upgrade, review, and document network infrastructure, including high availability firewalls and stacked switching
- - MDM configuration for Apple and Android devices.
- Develop, document, and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
- Conduct project audits as/when assigned.
- Conduct project QA as/when assigned.
- Communicate project statuses and planned changes/outages to internal stakeholders and Clients.
- Mentor and/or provide oversight/remote support to other technical staff to help with professional growth and development.
- Other job duties as assigned.
WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED TO BE A SUCCESSFUL SYSTEMS INTEGRATOR?
- Excellent troubleshooting and implementation skills with IT and related hardware and software components (PCs, laptops, servers, firewalls, switches, routers, hard drives, Windows operating systems, business applications, etc.)
- Calmly resolve high-stress technical issues.
- Adaptable, eager to learn, and excited about growing with the company.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
- Skilled at multitasking in fast-paced environments.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

- Excellent technical writing skills (detailed notes on tickets) including the ability to create network diagrams.

- Strong understanding of security risks and how they may impact a Client environment and/or project.
- Exceptional problem solving, planning, and follow-through skills.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and team members.
- Azure considered an asset.
WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS I NEED TO HAVE?
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and/or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience which may include Network Administrator, Systems Administrator, System Engineer, or Tier 2-3 (or similar) in a tiered environment.
- Extensive experience providing both onsite and remote support.
- Extensive experience executing small and medium scale IT projects.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
- Passports may be required to enter ports of commerce.
WHAT IS THE WORK ENVIRONMENT LIKE?
- Normal office working conditions.
- Work requires regular sitting/standing at a desk, working with a computer.
- This position requires standing, walking, sitting, using hands, seeing, reaching, talking, writing, and hearing; it may require occasionally carrying or lifting equipment if working on-site.
- Position requires contact with others - in meetings, by phone or by email. Interactions focus on data collection, problem solving, needs analysis and technical work. Interactions are initiated in person or electronically.
- Position may require some travel to customer sites.

The compensation range for this position is determined by a combination of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive programs designed to reward individual and organizational performance.
