Job Description

This Department of War enterprise data and analytics program delivers mission-critical capabilities that enable leaders across the Department to make faster, better-informed decisions using trusted data at scale. Leidos Digital Modernization sector is seeking an experienced Journeyman Systems Integrator to support the delivery, enhancement, and adoption of enterprise data and analytics products used across multiple DoD organizations.

In this role, you will work alongside government partners, engineers, and other industry teammates to translate operational and strategic requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions. You will contribute directly to product planning, execution, and continuous improvement—helping ensure capabilities are delivered efficiently, aligned to mission priorities, and positioned for sustained success.

This position offers the opportunity to work on a high-visibility, enterprise program at the intersection of data, analytics, and emerging AI technologies. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the System Operations Plan (SOP) by supporting documentation updates and operational inputs.

  • Support operation and maintenance of Cloud Service Provider (CSP) and Data Center (DC) environments hosting system infrastructure.

  • Assist with execution of release and deployment activities, including supporting Software Release Plans and rollback procedures

  • Perform routine system administration and maintenance tasks to support system availability and cybersecurity compliance.

  • Support execution of Patch Management activities, including applying updates and tracking patch status.

  • Assist with asset management processes, including maintaining inventory of cloud, hardware, and software assets.

  • Support incident response activities by tracking, documenting, and assisting in resolution of system incidents.

  • Assist in tracking and reporting cybersecurity incidents and spillage events in coordination with senior staff.

  • Support execution of event management activities, including scheduled maintenance and system updates.

  • Monitor system performance and assist in tracking SLA metrics and KPPs, escalating issues as needed.

  • Assist in validating system interoperability and supporting resolution of basic integration issues.

  • Utilize AWS (or relevant CSP) management tools to perform routine operational tasks and system monitoring.

  • Perform basic network and system administration tasks, including configuration updates, patching, and troubleshooting with guidance.

  • Support preparation of reports on system performance, incidents, and operational metrics for engineering and program teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active Secret clearance.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline and at least 4 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree in a related field and at least 2 years of relevant experience.

  • At least one of the following foundational qualification pathways consistent with DoD 8140 requirements:

    • Current DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification appropriate for Basic System Administrator roles (e.g., Security+, Network+, A+, or equivalent),

    • Offerings listed in the DoD 8140 Training Repository,

    • Demonstrated equivalent training and experience qualifying under DoD 8140 foundational qualification alternatives.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in performing systems integration and system operations for enterprise level applications and/or systems used for strategic decision making.

  • Experience supporting system integration, system administration, or IT operations in enterprise environments.

  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) or system infrastructure environments.

  • Experience performing system monitoring, troubleshooting, and configuration management tasks.

  • Experience supporting software deployment or DevOps/Agile environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret clearance.

  • Experience supporting system integration across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and JWICS environments.

  • Experience working with DevSecOps pipelines and CI/CD processes.

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Experience supporting infrastructure, cloud operations, or data platform integration.

  • Exposure to system integration tools, monitoring tools, or automation frameworks.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
