Job Description

This Department of War enterprise data and analytics program delivers mission-critical capabilities that enable leaders across the Department to make faster, better-informed decisions using trusted data at scale. Leidos Digital Modernization sector is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Integrator to support the delivery, enhancement, and adoption of enterprise data and analytics products used across multiple DoD organizations.

In this role, you will work alongside government partners, engineers, and other industry teammates to translate operational and strategic requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions. You will contribute directly to product planning, execution, and continuous improvement, helping ensure capabilities are delivered efficiently, aligned to mission priorities, and positioned for sustained success.

This position offers the opportunity to work on a high-visibility enterprise program at the intersection of data, analytics, and emerging AI technologies. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the development, maintenance, and execution of the System Operations Plan (SOP) for system operations activities.
  • Operate and maintain Cloud Service Provider (CSP) and Data Center (DC) environments supporting system infrastructure.
  • Support release and deployment activities, including execution of Software Release Plans and Rollback procedures
  • Perform system administration and maintenance activities to ensure operational compliance with cybersecurity requirements.
  • Execute Patch Management processes to maintain system compliance with DoD patching requirements.
  • Support asset management activities, including inventory tracking of cloud, hardware, and software assets.
  • Support execution of incident response processes, including tracking, diagnosing, and resolving system incidents.
  • Assist in handling and tracking cybersecurity incidents and spillage events in coordination with cybersecurity teams.
  • Support execution of event management activities for planned maintenance and system operations.
  • Monitor and report on SLA performance metrics and KPPs, identifying and escalating performance issues.
  • Validate system interoperability and assist in resolving integration issues impacting system performance.
  • Utilize AWS (or relevant CSP) management tools to support system operations and environment management.
  • Perform network and system administration tasks including patching, configuration, and basic firewall and routing support.
  • Provide reporting on system performance, incidents, and SLA metrics to engineering and program stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline and 8–12 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree in a related field and 6–10 years of relevant experience.
  • At least one of the following foundational qualification pathways consistent with DoD 8140 requirements:
    • Current DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification appropriate for Intermediate System Administrator roles (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SSCP, or equivalent),
    • Offerings listed in the DoD 8140 Training Repository,
    • Demonstrated equivalent training and experience qualifying under DoD 8140 foundational qualification alternatives.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in performing systems integration and system operations for enterprise level applications and/or systems used for strategic decision making.
  • Proficiency in system administration of Active Directory, AWS Services, DevSecOps Pipelines using GitLab, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows Server, and Splunk.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services and cloud service management consoles.
  • Experience in managing and maintaining cloud and data center environments.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity mandates and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in incident response and cybersecurity incident management.
  • Ability to develop and maintain comprehensive system operations and incident response plans.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving system integration issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret clearance.
  • Experience operating within SAFe or Agile frameworks supporting enterprise systems.
  • Experience integrating enterprise systems across cloud, software, and infrastructure environments.
  • Experience supporting DevSecOps pipelines, CI/CD processes, and system deployment activities.
  • Experience supporting configuration management and release management processes.
  • Experience supporting system integration across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and JWICS environments.
  • Experience integrating cloud-native applications and microservices architectures.
  • Experience supporting enterprise data, AI/ML, or analytics platform integration.
  • Experience with AWS Kubernetes, F5 Big IP, Grafana, ICAM, Keycloak, and Big Bang and Chainguard services.
  • Experience in asset management and maintaining asset databases.
  • Strong understanding of SLA performance measures and KPPs.
  • Ability to automate software patching activities and other system operations tasks.
  • Familiarity with DoD patching requirements and timelines.
  • Familiarity with interface control documentation and system integration frameworks.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
