
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:: Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) is seeking a Systems Engineer to help design, develop, integrate, and field advanced systems aboard surface vessels for the United States Navy and Coast Guard. This is an opportunity to work on a fast-moving program where you’ll collaborate across disciplines, solve hands-on technical challenges, and help move mission-critical capabilities from concept to fielded product.
You’ll contribute throughout the systems engineering lifecycle—from concepts of operations (CONOPs), requirements, and architecture through design, implementation, integration and test, operations, and sustainment.
As a Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring our surface vessel systems are robust, secure, and mission-ready. Your core responsibilities will include:
