Position Summary

Designs, maintains, and modernizes enterprise infrastructure to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable technology services. Manages core server, storage, virtualization, cloud, and data center platforms while leading infrastructure upgrades, migrations, optimization, and lifecycle initiatives that improve performance and operational efficiency. Provides technical leadership and/or supervises Systems Engineers I, II, and III.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead infrastructure modernization, migration, optimization, and technology refresh initiatives.
  • Manage and support enterprise cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Administer and maintain enterprise technologies including VMware, Nutanix, Windows/ Linux Server, IBM Power Systems, IBM Storage, and related infrastructure platforms.
  • Support NetApp storage infrastructure, including provisioning, performance tuning, snapshot management, replication, and storage lifecycle management.
  • Design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise infrastructure, server platforms, and operational services.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement infrastructure solutions that improve performance, scalability, availability, and operational efficiency.
  • Administer and support enterprise data center infrastructures that include compute, storage, virtualization, networking, power, and environmental systems
  • Provide troubleshooting and technical support for server, storage, application, virtualization, and networking environments.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, system configurations, operational procedures, and infrastructure diagrams.
  • Execute system implementation plans, upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure enhancement projects
  • Manage operating systems, patch management, backups, disaster recovery processes, replication, and security controls to ensure system reliability and compliance.
  • Support and maintain enterprise applications, third-party software, and integrated technology platforms.
  • Ensure infrastructure standards, policies, and best practices are followed across all technology environments.
  • Collaborate with business units, IT teams, vendors, and managed service providers to deliver reliable and secure technology services.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Perform technical analysis, capacity planning, hardware evaluations, and infrastructure lifecycle management activities.

Qualifications

  • Four-year college or university degree in Computer Science or related field and/or relevant equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in the design, implementation, administration, and support of enterprise systems infrastructure within a corporate enterprise, service provider, or systems integrator environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

  • Experience administering and supporting enterprise hypervisor platforms, including VMware vSphere/ESXi, Nutanix, and related virtualization technologies.
  • Strong experience with Windows Server administration, virtualization platforms, enterprise storage systems, and disaster recovery technologies.
  • Knowledge of backup, recovery, high availability, and business continuity best practices.
  • Experience supporting enterprise monitoring, patch management, security, and infrastructure operations.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to document technical solutions and collaborate across teams.
  • Experience leading infrastructure projects and working with vendors, managed service providers, and cross-functional technical teams.

Physical or Work Requirements

  • Performs work in manufacturing, warehouse, or production environments and requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and repetitive motion throughout the shift.
  • Employees may be required to operate machinery or powered equipment, wear personal protective equipment (PPE), work in environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, moving equipment, or manufacturing materials, and lift or move materials weighing up to 25–50 pounds.
  • Some roles may require overtime, shift work, weekends, or extended schedules based on business needs.

Travel

  • This position requires periodic travel (approximately 10%) to company locations to support infrastructure projects, including technology refreshes, deployments, upgrades, and other project-related activities.
  • Travel may include on-site support during implementation, cutover, and validation activities.

National Target Base Pay Range: $117,000.00 - $195,000.00.

The salary range for this position is based on national standards. For candidates in California and the New York metro, the Target Base Pay Range is $130,000.00 - $216,000.00, to reflect the cost of living and market conditions in those areas.

Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications, and job-related skills. It is not typical for an individual to be hired above the midpoint of the range for their role, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws.

Base pay is only one component of our total rewards offerings, and we will take the full offering into consideration when presenting an offer of employment. Our total rewards package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, Medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401(k) match, and other wellness benefits.
