We are looking for a self-motivated and inspired Senior Systems Engineer to join our company at the IT Department.

Requirements

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, administering, and continuously optimizing the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across systems and networks. In this role, you will manage and support server environments, virtualization platforms, network infrastructure, and enterprise systems while proactively identifying risks, troubleshooting complex issues, and driving continuous improvements.

Acting as a technical expert, you will contribute to strategic infrastructure initiatives, support business continuity, and recommend innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and system reliability.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Design, implement, administer, and support on-premises and virtualized infrastructure environments.
2. Manage, maintain, and optimize server systems, virtualization platforms, and enterprise infrastructure.
3. Administer and support multi-site systems and network operations, ensuring high availability and performance.
4. Monitor infrastructure health, troubleshoot incidents, and implement preventive and corrective actions.
5. Configure, manage, and support network devices (e.g. switches, routers, firewalls, etc.).
6. Administer and maintain virtualization environments based on VMware ESX 7/8.
7. Manage and support Windows Server environments (primarily Windows Server 2019).
8. Administer and support Microsoft 365 services and related enterprise technologies.
9. Lead infrastructure optimization initiatives, automation efforts, and continuous improvement projects.
10. Support system security, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
11. Collaborate with internal teams and vendors for infrastructure projects, upgrades, and technical support.
12. Participate in the planning, evaluation, and implementation of new technologies and architecture improvements.

Education & Experience

1. University Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
2. 5+ years of hands-on experience in systems engineering, infrastructure administration, and enterprise environments.
3. Strong professional experience with VMware environments; relevant certification will be considered an asset.
4. Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration and enterprise systems.
5. Good knowledge of networking technologies, including switching, routing, firewalling, and network segmentation.
6. Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
7. Professional certifications (e.g. VMware, Microsoft, CCNA or equivalent) will be considered an asset)

7. Proactive mindset with focus on reliability, optimization, and continuous improvement.
