Job Summary:

The Listing Systems Team is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of application systems that support the Listing Division. We are seeking a motivated and energetic Senior System Analyst to join our team.

In this role, you will participate in the full software development lifecycle, including solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support of PEGA-based applications supporting HKEX's Listing Department.

Job Duties:

  • Analysis, design, development, and support of PEGA workflow and case management solutions for HKEX Listing business processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyse business processes, and design workflow solutions that enhance operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive solution design reviews and ensure PEGA applications comply with enterprise architecture, security, resiliency, and performance requirements.
  • Coordinate development, testing, deployment, and production support activities across internal teams and external vendors.
  • Manage application releases, change requests, defect fixes, and production incidents, ensuring service levels and business expectations are met.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective and preventive measures to improve system stability and reliability.
  • Define and execute testing strategies covering functional, integration, performance, resilience, and disaster recovery requirements.
  • Support system enhancements and technology upgrades, including platform modernization, infrastructure changes, and application optimizations.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and ensure knowledge transfer to support and operations teams.

Job Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in software development, implementation, and support of enterprise-scale business applications, preferably within financial services or other regulated industries.
  • Hands-on experience in PEGA application development, case management, and enterprise application support.
  • Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Proven experience in incident management, problem resolution, root cause analysis, and production support for business-critical systems.
  • Solid knowledge of relational databases, including SQL Server, with experience in database troubleshooting, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Experience integrating applications with external systems and services, with a good understanding of enterprise application architecture and system design principles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify issues and deliver effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments and using collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and source code management platforms.
  • Ability to work closely with business users, project teams, and vendors to gather requirements, coordinate deliverables, and ensure successful project execution.
  • Self-motivated and proactive team player with strong ownership, able to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Professional certifications in PEGA (CSA, CSSA) and PMP certification would be an advantage.
  • Experience in stock exchange, financial market, regulatory, or workflow-intensive systems would be highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua).
