We are looking for a Senior Systems Analyst to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and the Data Platform & Products Team. In this role, you will translate analytical, operational, and regulatory requirements into governed, trusted data products, standardized KPIs, and high-quality data assets. You will play a key role in ensuring that data products are discoverable, well-documented, compliant, and aligned with business needs across the organization.
Collaborate with stakeholders across Marketing Analytics, Product, Regulatory, Support, and Business teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
Facilitate workshops, requirement sessions, and review meetings to align business objectives with technical delivery.
Translate business needs into clear data product specifications and functional requirements for Data Engineers and Architects.
Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the Data Platform team.
Define and maintain business KPIs, metric definitions, and calculation logic to ensure consistent reporting across the organization.
Author and maintain data contracts, business glossaries, data dictionaries, and metadata documentation.
Support the creation, certification, and publishing of trusted data products and analytical datasets.
Promote standardization of business metrics and reporting practices across teams.
Support implementation of data governance policies, standards, and best practices.
Maintain metadata, lineage, and business classifications within Microsoft Purview and Unity Catalog.
Ensure data assets remain compliant with governance, audit, and regulatory reporting requirements.
Champion data stewardship and data ownership practices across the organization.
Validate data products and pipeline outputs against business and technical requirements.
Participate in acceptance testing activities and certify data products before business consumption.
Investigate data quality issues and coordinate resolution with Data Engineers and Architects.
Analyze data quality trends and recommend improvements to increase trust and usability.
Produce and maintain functional specifications, governance documentation, data dictionaries, and user guidance materials.
Promote adoption of certified data products across business teams.
Ensure data catalogs and documentation remain accurate, accessible, and understandable for non-technical users.
Drive awareness of available data assets and their business value.
5+ years of experience in Systems Analysis, Business Analysis, Data Analysis, or Data Governance.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience working with analytics, reporting, or enterprise data platforms.
Proven experience facilitating requirements sessions and engaging with diverse business stakeholders.
Exposure to data governance, metadata management, compliance reporting, or regulatory environments.
Strong SQL skills for data validation, analysis, and requirements verification.
Experience authoring and maintaining data contracts and metadata documentation.
Familiarity with Unity Catalog, Microsoft Purview, and data governance practices.
Understanding of Power BI reporting concepts and data product consumption.
Awareness of Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and observability concepts.
Basic familiarity with Databricks notebooks and data platform workflows.
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, data lineage, and data quality frameworks.
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
Excellent requirements gathering, documentation, and communication abilities.
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
Ability to translate ambiguity into clear, actionable requirements.
