What’s the role?

An exciting opportunity for a Senior System Analyst to join the Fraud Prevention team within Customer and Corporate Services at Westpac.

The role is responsible to provide technical support and expertise for fraud analytics systems, tools, and processes. Focuses on improving system design, efficiency, stability, and data quality. It includes supporting the development, testing, release, and monitoring of analytics, database, and web environments.

The position works closely with project, security, risk, and compliance teams to ensure strong system governance and continuous improvement and contributes to process and policy enhancements.

What do I need?

  • Demonstrated experience working with SAS production environments
  • Proven experience supporting and managing batch analytics processes
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear, effective, and reliable stakeholder engagement.
  • A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Desirable skills:

  • Implementing or maintain DevOps pipelines, ideally Jenkins/Chef/Artifactory
  • Familiar with SQL, REST, APIs, GIT and Linux
  • Delivery of projects or initiatives
  • Experience with modern web development frameworks, ideally React.js
