You will have responsibility for resolving complex issues, implementing change and delivering technical solutions across the Microsoft technology estate.

You will join a wider technical team that includes enterprise architecture, systems administration, technical delivery and contractor resource, giving you the opportunity to contribute to joined-up solutions across different areas of technical specialism.

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing hands-on third-line support for complex infrastructure and application issues.
  • Planning and implementing technical changes, upgrades and new solutions.
  • Completing impact assessments and preparing implementation, testing and contingency plans.
  • Working directly with customers to understand technical requirements and expected outcomes.
  • Leading customer-facing technical discussions and contributing to workshops.
  • Investigating service failures using technical documentation, system information and event logs.
  • Working with third-party suppliers to identify, test and implement permanent resolutions.
  • Preparing low-level designs, change requests, procedures and technical work packages.
  • Supporting disaster recovery planning and the delivery of secure, resilient services.
  • Working closely with enterprise architects, technical delivery specialists and operational teams.
  • Supporting the transition of completed projects into BAU support.
  • Sharing technical knowledge and providing mentoring to other team members.
  • Contributing to the scheduled out-of-hours support rota

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in a Senior Systems Administrator, Senior Infrastructure Engineer or similar third-line technical role.
  • Strong hands-on experience managing Microsoft 365 tenant environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Intune, Entra ID, SharePoint, OneDrive and Microsoft Teams.
  • Good Azure cloud knowledge, with experience delivering solutions within an Azure environment.
  • Experience implementing and supporting hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise systems, Windows infrastructure and security operations.
  • Experience delivering complex Microsoft-based technical solutions.
  • Experience supporting identity management, multi-factor authentication and least-privilege access.
  • An understanding of Zero Trust principles within hybrid technology environments.
  • The ability to investigate complex technical issues and make evidence-based decisions.
  • Experience producing low-level designs and clear technical documentation.
  • Strong customer engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • The confidence to lead technical discussions and explain solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent planning, prioritisation and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
  • Relevant Microsoft or ITIL qualifications, or equivalent experience

What you’ll get in return

  • Salary of £50,000 to £55,000 per annum.
  • 25 days annual leave, rising to 27 after four years service.
  • Birthday Day Off.
  • One concessionary day during the Christmas period.
  • Pension scheme with 6% employer contribution.
  • Life assurance cover.
  • Access to Learning & Development opportunities via our CSG Academy.
  • Hybrid working, with one day per week in Kings Hill and occasional travel
