Senior Sustainability & Stewardship Program Manager

Level Focus: Enterprise-level program leadership, strategic influence, and cross-functional execution.

Leads a portfolio of sustainability programs with enterprise-wide impact. Shapes sustainability strategy, drives cross-regional compliance, and influences decision-making across business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Oversight & Execution

Manage complex sustainability programs independently with a heavy focus on implementing product design and material changes.

Ensure strategic alignment and enterprise impact, following standardized product development processes and milestones.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

Lead cross-regional initiatives and stakeholder engagement.

Drive alignment across suppliers, business units, operations and design.

  • Systems & Process Ownership

Optimize product development systems and sustainability tools.

Implement scalable solutions and process improvements.

  • Stakeholder Engagement

Influence decision-making across departments.

Represent sustainability goals in leadership forums.

Translate sustainability goals into actionable plans.

Supports creation of carbon reduction roadmap.

  • Reporting & Communication

Develop executive-level reports and dashboards.

Facilitate cross-functional and global leadership collaboration (category, operations, supply management) to advance programs, remove barriers, escalate issues, and align on decisions.

  • Mentorship & Team Development

Mentor team members and support organizational development.

Provide input on performance evaluations and career growth.

  • Project Leadership

Lead enterprise-wide initiatives and support strategy execution.

Core Knowledge Areas

  • Advanced proficiency in project and change management.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic sustainability planning skills.
  • Experience with executive-level reporting and communication.
  • Experience in product development framework from concept, through Business Proposal and Implementation.

Proficiency Expectations

  • Leads enterprise-level sustainability programs.
  • Shapes strategy and drives cross-functional execution.
  • Mentors team members and supports organizational development.
  • Manages budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
  • Influences executive decision-making and strategic direction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 6–8 years of experience in enterprise program management.
  • 4-6 years of product development experience.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of program management experience, sustainability experience a plus.
  • Proven leadership in product development initiatives.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
