Job Description

This position requires management of junior staff, processing of Field Survey data, boundary retracement knowledge, including Right of Way Mapping for State and Municipal entities. Experience in Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Right of Way Mapping is a plus. This position will involve Map production and preparation, boundary decision making, deed research and title report reviews.

DURING YOUR WORK DAY, YOU WILL:

  • Direct field work, organize technical production, check work (quality control) and communicate with project personnel.
  • Be responsible for the professional and technical production of survey project(s) with these objectives:
    • quality (accuracy, thoroughness, clarity, meeting regulatory requirements);
    • safety;
    • meeting schedules;
    • meeting budgets;
    • providing responsive service to clients.
  • Ensure that all aspects of projects are followed through to completion.
  • Support business development efforts, lead the preparation of proposals.
  • Efficiently balance workload and resources
  • Develop new, and maintain existing, client relationships. Serve as key contact with clients.
  • Draw on your extensive knowledge of standard practices for land surveying. Be generally recognized as an expert in the field. Provide technical, design and project management services in support of surveying.
  • Personally be able to carry out complex or novel assignments requiring the development and implementation of new or improved techniques or procedures.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Surveying preferred and/or equivalent work experience and FL PSM professional registration.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in geomatics.
  • Good technical skills
  • Behavioral traits of process oriented, steady, helpful, analytical, problem solver, methodical, consistent, detail oriented, precise, hates mistakes.
  • Must be able to work and communicate with field crews and CAD technicians.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, an acceptable motor vehicle record, a cleared criminal background check and drug test.
