About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Market Surveillance & Trading Compliance Specialist to join our CIB Compliance team. In this senior role, you will be responsible for maintaining an effective trading compliance program through robust risk management, monitoring, and surveillance of trading and sales activities. You will apply a data-driven approach to detect market manipulation and quality-of-execution issues, propose system tuning to reduce false positives, and lead investigations. Additionally, you will play a key role in mentoring less experienced staff, driving strategic regulatory projects, and fostering strong collaboration between Front Office, IT, and local/global Compliance teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze trading activity, associated communications and alerts generated from Natixis surveillance systems or manual controls to detect abnormal or suspicious trading activity (Market Manipulation, Insider Dealing or Misconduct violations) that could compromise Market Integrity;
  • Analyze data sources to reconstruct the lifecycle of alerted trades from order to execution to support alert decisioning;
  • Perform relevant investigatory activities and escalate to local Compliance teams or to the global CIB Compliance team as necessary;
  • Master the system configuration options in order to suggest changes to parameters in order to enhance the detection capabilities and to obtain more pertinent alerts;
  • Configure and test the surveillance system parameters with Head Office compliance colleagues;
  • Actively engage in projects related to the surveillance strategy;
  • Enhance key aspects of the surveillance program including threshold refinement, governance, data analytics and management information;
  • Optimize operational processes linked to alert generation, analysis, escalation and decisioning of surveillance alerts;
  • Partner with Compliance and IT resources to aide Natixis’ transition from existing surveillance systems to new generation systems;

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory (written and spoken) for daily interaction with global teams and Head Office.
  • Regulations: Deep knowledge of MiFID, EMIR, DFA, and MAR.
  • Products & Flows: Strong expertise in Market Finance Products (Equities, Derivatives) and Front-to-Post-Trade flows.
  • Systems & Tools: Proficiency in Bloomberg, PowerBI, and systems like Sophis, Summit, or Murex
  • Senior Capabilities:
    • High autonomy in decision-making and handling complex/ambiguous situations.
    • Strong communication skills to influence stakeholders and project partners.
    • Experience mentoring others and driving regulatory projects.

O projeto ATLAS teve o seu início em março de 2017 com o arranque da sua operação no Porto e contratação de primeiros recursos humanos altamente qualificados. As novas instalações foram formalmente inauguradas a 07/03/2018.
