OpenBlue: This is How a Space Comes Alive

To manage commercially the Purchasing / Demand Planning for assigned SBUs incorporating purchases from local and overseas suppliers

What will you do?

Demand Planning

  • Cost effective management of inventory levels which satisfy Business unit performance requirements.
  • Ensure purchases are in line with anticipated forecasts and demand trends, set service levels and in line with product lead-time.
  • Driving collaboration with commercial team to incorporate /challenge sales forecast and assumptions on demand.
  • Lead Business Unit activities and ensuring the accurate maintenance of master data related to planning parameters by analyzing trends and lead time changes
  • Lead quarterly write off exercise with sales, L&D and finance
  • Participate and contribute to monthly S&OP meetings with Sales, Procurement, Customer service and Product management to drive actions and facilitate decision making.
  • Work closely with various key stakeholders(commercial, PM, Global supplying plants, etc ) to meet customers’ expectations and requirements
  • Gather, develop, analyses and validate historical data used in preparing forecasts.
  • (50%) Drive forecast collection from Sales for finished goods (FG) and translate demand into raw material (RM) purchasing/build requirements to support FG availability.
  • Understanding of financial impact of forecasting and related decisions.
  • Lead new product phase in and minimize phase out exposures .
  • Support Ad-hoc reporting and additional duties when required.

Supply Planning

  • Maintain accurate availability dates for PO issued to Supplier
  • Respond within SLA to customers enquiries
  • Escalate supply risk early and propose potential solutions , balancing cost and service level
  • Ensure Follow up of materials arrivals into DC and resolves custom clearance issues with L&D
  • Supports phase in phase process
  • Optimize ocean and air freight cost for your Business Unit
  • Resolves and coordinates with L&D on shipping issues/documentations/JIRA

BI and Reporting( Good to have)

  • Design , develop and maintain interactive dashboard and reporting using BI
  • Create and optimize SQLQUERIES to support reporting needs
  • Develop and manage data models to support business analysis and operational monitoring



What we look for?

  • A tertiary degree in Business / Operations or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in relevant domain.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Preferably candidates who has experience working on production and materials planning
  • MUST HAVE: Proven experience translating finished goods (FG) forecasts into raw material (RM) requirements (BOM/production & materials planning) and executing purchasing plans accordingly.
  • MUST HAVE: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., PivotTables, Power Query, complex formulas) and strong proficiency in Microsoft Word.
  • Knowledge on SQL will be an added advantage.
  • SAP/Pronto experience
