We are currently seeking a Senior Supply Chain Planning Program Manager. As part of the Global Supply Chain team, you will support projects focused on critical supply chain initiatives, process improvement, and connections to enterprise programs.

This position will work onsite in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

As a Senior Supply Chain Planning Program Manager, you will be responsible for providing direct leadership and support for the development and execution of long-term strategies that will optimize Medtronic’s position in terms of service, cost and customer value. You will report to a Sr. Supply Chain Planning Manager and will be working closely with enterprise functional teams and operating units to plan and execute strategic Global Supply Chain initiatives.

In this position you will:

  • Develop, advocate, and execute on Supply Chain transformational projects that align with the business and enterprise strategies to maximize service and cost.
  • Utilize process improvement and project management principles and tools to deliver practical solutions to complex problems and achieve significant improvement results.
  • Communicate and share results and “how it was done” best practices.
  • Excel at technical skills associated with Six Sigma, Lean, and Project Management techniques for medium to large sized projects and/or workstreams inside of larger projects.
  • Lead projects from initiation to successful/timely completion; develop and define project charters, schedules, and key milestones/deliverables.
  • Anticipate and proactively manage program risks and issues that impact program progress.
  • Assess change readiness and prepare plans for helping stakeholders through change.
  • Successfully influence and manage at all levels of the organization. This position works with Operations, Finance, GSC, Sourcing, Quality, Marketing, Distribution and Customer Service.
  • Passionately drive process excellence visibility and awareness across the businesses.
  • Interface with IT for project-based needs.
  • Report and communicate status of projects to Operations & GSC Senior staff or other appropriate leadership regularly.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Perform supply chain and logistics functions such as material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution.
  • Create integrated processes among internal functions (e.g., operations, purchasing and logistics) and outside suppliers.
  • Plan and analyze activities related to the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience

Nice to Have

  • Project Management experience with proven track record of project execution
  • Ability to lead, energize and influence change efforts at all levels of a complex organization
  • Hands-on experience managing Cross Functional Projects
  • Green Belt certification
  • Proficient in the use of project management tools
  • Proven problem solving and decision-making skills; ability to evaluate alternatives, develop innovative solutions, display proactive approach and initiative to resolve obstacles
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
  • Ability to work with little direction and supervision, manage timelines and expectations, adjust for unplanned assignments, and adapt to changing priorities
  • Experience working in Global Network Design and implementation of projects

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$130,400.00 - $195,600.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others)
