As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Supplier Quality Management (SQM) governance framework, ensuring supplier compliance and driving continuous improvement across BE BOM suppliers.
You will play a key role in strengthening supplier quality performance by managing audits, enforcing quality standards, and collaborating with suppliers to improve process capability and quality maturity.
What You Will Do
Develop and maintain SQM governance framework, procedures, standards, and best practices.
Manage General Quality Agreements and ensure Nexperia Quality Requirements are implemented across BE BOM suppliers.
Plan and execute the annual supplier audit program based on risk assessment and business priorities.
Conduct supplier audits, surveillance audits, process audits, and special assessments.
Track audit effectiveness and ensure timely closure of findings.
Standardize supplier qualification processes, performance management systems, and audit methodologies.
Develop and maintain supplier quality metrics, scorecards, and reporting systems.
Drive supplier development initiatives to improve process capability and quality maturity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve supplier quality issues and ensure compliance with global standards.
What You Will Need
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Electronics, or related field.
5–8 years of experience in supplier quality management or supplier quality engineering.
Hands-on experience in supplier audits, quality system assessments, and supplier development activities.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and VDA 6.3.
Certification in VDA 6.3 is an added advantage.
Proficiency in quality tools including 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, APQP, and PPAP.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to quality issues.
Experience in supplier negotiation and stakeholder management.
Good communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional and international teams.
