We're looking for a Senior Production Supervisor who combines deep manufacturing expertise with exceptional people leadership to drive performance, develop talent, and build high-performing teams. This role goes beyond supervising daily production activities. It requires a leader who can develop production employees and emerging leaders, champion continuous improvement, and partner across functions to solve complex operational challenges.

The ideal candidate is passionate about building workforce capability, coaching others to reach their potential, and creating a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.

Location: On-Site, Carson City, NV

Shift: 1st shift M-F, 6:30am-4pm

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity objectives.
  • Develop production employees and emerging leaders through coaching, mentoring, cross-training, performance management, and career development.
  • Build workforce capability through training strategies, skills development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
  • Partner with Quality, Engineering, Planning, Maintenance, and Human Resources to resolve issues, remove barriers, and achieve business objectives.
  • Lead teams through production challenges, quality concerns, equipment issues, and urgent customer requirements while maintaining operational discipline.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Value Stream Improvement, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze operational issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Monitor performance metrics and develop action plans to improve safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and employee engagement.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, retention, and workforce development efforts.
  • Champion a safe, organized, and high-performing work environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience leading production teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • Proven success developing production employees and frontline leaders through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and career development.
  • Strong employee coaching, talent development, conflict resolution, and employee relations skills.
  • Experience building high-performing teams through training, accountability, engagement, and succession planning.
  • Demonstrated experience leading Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, Value Stream Improvement, or Process Optimization initiatives.
  • Strong technical understanding of manufacturing operations, production processes, root cause analysis, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience partnering with Quality, Engineering, Planning, Maintenance, and other support functions to solve complex operational challenges and support customer commitments.
  • Proven ability to influence outcomes, lead change, and drive accountability across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.

Nice to Have

  • Aerospace, FAA repair station, machining, welding, inspection, or other highly regulated manufacturing experience.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience with production scheduling, manufacturing metrics, and labor planning.
  • A&P License or ability to obtain a Repairman Certificate, if required by site operations.

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
