About Deals:
Our Deals Services team is a leading provider of Corporate Finance, M&A advisory, Transaction Services, and Capital Raising services in Greece. We support high-profile transactions across a wide range of industries, delivering strategic advice and hands-on execution at every stage of the deal process. Our experienced professionals work with a diverse client base — including large Greek and multinational corporations, SMEs, private equity funds, banks, and institutional investors — helping them assess risks, identify opportunities, and make informed investment decisions.
The role in more detail:
As a Due Diligence Senior / Supervisor Advisor, you will have the opportunity to participate in challenging financial due diligence engagements in the context of M&A transactions, refinancing, and strategic investment decisions. Collaborating with a diverse team of experts, you will provide critical financial analysis and insights to clients across multiple industries. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to further develop their expertise in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
As part of the Deals – Due Diligence team, you will gain exposure to a broad range of transaction-related services, participating in buy-side and sell-side due diligence engagements, financial analysis, and transaction support projects. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to strengthen your technical and commercial skills through continuous learning and professional development, positioning yourself for further growth and advancement in your career.
🏆 Grant Thornton Greece Deals is recognized for delivering high-quality transaction advisory services, supporting clients in some of the most significant and complex transactions in the Greek market.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
Conducting financial due diligence engagements for acquisitions, disposals, refinancing, and strategic investments
Analyzing historical financial performance, quality of earnings, cash flows, working capital trends, and net debt positions.
Identifying key financial, operational, and commercial risks and opportunities relevant to a transaction.
Managing financial data analysis and conducting detailed reviews of financial statements and supporting documentation.
Preparing due diligence reports, client deliverables, and presentations, ensuring quality, consistency, and clarity.
Coordinating and communicating effectively with clients, target company management teams, and other advisors throughout the transaction process.
Guiding and supporting junior team members in their day-to-day work, providing feedback and promoting their technical development.
Participating in client meetings and discussions, contributing to the delivery of actionable recommendations and transaction insights.
The key requirements of this role are:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field with an excellent academic record.
Master’s degree or relevant professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent) will be considered a strong asset.
Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and transaction-related financial analysis.
Familiarity with financial due diligence methodologies and M&A transaction processes.
Experience using CapitalIQ, Bloomberg, or other financial databases will be highly regarded.
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
A genuine passion for finance and transactions.
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, presentation, and report-writing skills.
Minimum of 3 years (Senior) to 5 years (Supervisor) of relevant professional experience, preferably in Transaction Services / Due Diligence within an audit or consulting firm.
Fluency in Greek and English, both orally and verbally.
Military obligations fulfilled (if applicable).
