Senior Superintendent | Multifamily Construction – Northern California

Apartments | Assisted Living | Type III & Type II Wood Frame | Project Leadership

A nationally ranked developer is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead ground-up construction for multifamily projects including apartments, hotels, and assisted living communities. This role is ideal for an experienced builder with strong communication skills, technical expertise, and a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule adherence
• Coordinate and schedule trades, conduct week-ahead planning meetings
• Define project scope, schedule, goals, and financial plans in collaboration with project teams
• Utilize project management tools to monitor progress and control deliverables
• Lead and support field teams, fostering accountability and collaboration
• Communicate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders
• Provide regular progress updates and reporting to senior leadership

Qualifications:

• Experience managing multifamily, apartment, hotel, or assisted living projects
• Strong knowledge of Type III and Type II wood-frame construction
• Previous experience with general contractors, affordable housing developers, or construction management firms
• Established relationships within the local subcontractor market
• Proficient with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Bluebeam, and Procore
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; results-oriented mindset
