The Opportunity:

The opportunity involves contributing to the delivery of AIA’s purpose, vision and strategy by ensuring customers are supported effectively and efficiently. This role is accountable for delivering high‑quality group superannuation and senior claims administration outcomes, while also leading capability uplift across internal teams through structured training, coaching and competency development. A strong focus is placed on senior claims expertise, compliance and customer‑first practices, alongside building capability and consistency to deliver sustainable, high‑quality outcomes across the business.

To do this successfully you will:

  • Deliver end‑to‑end group superannuation and senior claims administration with a strong focus on complex claims including death, TPD, IP, PI and TI, ensuring outcomes are compliant, timely and customer‑focused.
  • Act as a trusted subject matter expert in superannuation, providing governance oversight, managing risks and dependencies, and representing Group Administration across projects, regulatory change and stakeholder forums.
  • Build and uplift capability across Group Administration through the design and delivery of structured training, coaching and competency frameworks that embed best practice, risk awareness and customer‑first thinking.
  • Drive quality, risk and performance outcomes by embedding strong controls, supporting assurance activities, analysing trends and continuously improving processes, productivity and service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships, partnering with leaders, teams, administrators, trustees and service providers to ensure effective communication, sustainable capability development and consistent, high‑quality outcomes across AIA.

Successful applications will demonstrate:

  • Strong depth of experience in superannuation operations, with a minimum of five years in administration environments and at least two years operating in a senior superannuation or trustee‑facing role, including deep expertise in group administration and death claims.
  • Demonstrated capability in training delivery, coaching and capability uplift within a regulated environment, with the ability to translate complex legislative, technical and risk requirements into clear, practical guidance for teams.
  • A solid understanding of the superannuation industry and its regulatory landscape, with proven experience working within compliance and risk management frameworks to deliver consistent, high‑quality outcomes.
  • A strong customer and change mindset, with excellent awareness of the drivers of customer service, experience contributing to projects or initiatives that delivered measurable benefits, and confidence operating in complex, fast‑paced environments.
  • Well‑developed analytical and communication skills, supported by practical experience using tools such as Excel and PowerPoint to support reporting, insights, training and stakeholder engagement.
